How will we keep in touch?
To keep paperwork to a minimum and ensure security, revaluation communications will be by email and through the website using secure logon and password.
How much does it cost?
If you have had a Gurr Johns valuation in the last year there will be no conversion charge or set up cost. If your Gurr Johns valuation is more than a year old we will carry out an initial desktop revaluation and re-code all items. For this there will be a special discounted charge, please contact the office for a quote. If your valuation is over five years old, a new valuation will be necessary which we can carry out at specially discounted rates.
If you have had a revaluation from another reputable company carried out in the last three years we will carry out a desktop revaluation, code all items and convert to the annual updating service format. For this there will be a special discounted charge, with a caveat that we have not seen the items and have accepted that the descriptions are correct; please contact the office for a quote. If this valuation is over three years old, a new valuation will be necessary, and again we can carry this out at specially discounted rates.
For exceptionally large, extensive or multiple properties, Gurr Johns may need to charge a higher amount. This will be discussed at the time and we will provide you with an individual quote before you join.
The annual cost which includes the annual revaluation and all other Gurr Johns' services, is from £250 plus VAT for up to 300 items of fine art, and £75 plus VAT for each additional 100 items or part.
Amendments to the inventory are free for the first 10, then £15 + VAT for each further acquisition (free if added by client online). Items over £250,000, paintings over £500,000 and exceptional items to be individually valued by a specialist are £50 + VAT per item.
Subscriptions to the annual updating service can be paid by annual direct debit or invoice.
